The Simple Things

The Simple Things

Is it just me, or are the simple things, some of the best things?

Every morning and evening, after I get done feeding and caring for my girls, I can’t help but feel filled with so much joy and gratitude.

It’s the simple things.

The simple interactions.

  • Making their herby hay pellet meals.

  • Tossing hay.

  • Stuffing nets.

  • Filling water.

  • Picking hooves.

  • Grooming.

  • Checking in with how they are doing with many ‘little’ things.

  • Noticing, observing and tweaking whatever may be needed to enrich their day or wellbeing.

  • Interacting with them as a herd, and individually.

These simple and joyful routines allow for grounded and present experiences while we explore endless other things together.
